I lock eyes with the man I now call my ‘most hated enemy’ (however he can’t outgun the ones I have waiting for me at home sweet home), and I’m not wasting my any time before I attack.

(hoping he underestimates my strength because of my fake girlish tears)

Even my training, and these legs that have been around many necks in my life time, it doesn’t take long before he has a choke hold after all I’m a human woman against a ‘god’.

(that word has taken on a poisonous tone to it ever since this all started)

“You interest me more than I’d like to say, little girl. I do not fall for tricks very often and when I do I can’t help but be impressed.”

Despite many attempts to escape his grip, growing tight around my neck which only caused his smile to widen with glee, were useless against his strength. The dreadful feeling of panic I’ve managed to avoid a lot in my risky life filled me up.

“Do not play with me, trickster, I do not care for your games.”

My voice came out level, while also strained thanks to his cold finger tips, hoping it would help put across that I was a woman to be messed with but all did was prompt him to squeeze tighter.

(but also noting that he could not keep from stroking my hair which could be used to my advantage later on)

“Then it shall be a jolly time raining them down upon you, my dear, until you can’t help but love these nasty games of mine.”

Those wide grinning lips of his were growing dangerously close, and inside my head I was already biting him and putting an end to this dance, but never reaching there desired destination.

“You won’t have the chance, god, to do anything when we bring you down to your knees.”

My strength only got me loss of breath, while my head was swimming I got a good look at myself and that my red ledger was finally washed clean, and very sore neck muscles.

(if one of the band of misfits did not come soon I would be brought down by his girlish hands)

“And how are you going to that-“

Before he could sneer at us humans any longer, or I had the chance to point out that had spent that whole damn ego speech staring at my chest, because Hulk came and tossed him across the city.

(I swear he must have cleared a entire football field with one tiny swing from Banner)

“Thanks, Banner.”

I held off on calling him Hulk or getting too close remembering my last encounter with him, hoping to appeal to the scientist trapped inside the monster and it seemed to working very well.

“Welcome, pretty lady.”
